Cultural Diversity Broadcast: the Spanish Perspective Report by Niki Avgitidou On 21st of May, the first live of the MCN took place. The live was dedicated to Cultural Diversity Day. The team of TACC agreed to gather all items they identified as ‘culture’ and presented it in a 5min-video with a song, as background music. They wanted to highlight diverse culture as a whole and a common thing, as they found themselves as citizens of the world (for instance, Luis Ángel is from Bolivia, Milena is from Uruguay, and Raquel is now living in Northern Ireland). The video consisted on, approximately, 45-seconds segments so, that all participants could be somehow engaged. A "mosaic" (or multi-screen) with clips of short videos of Luis Ángel dancing in different styles, a painting of faces made by Clara, a "mosaic" of gifs showing different styles of clothing and hairstyles made by Milena, a collection of "key" moments from cooking crêpes, Spanish omelet (tortilla de patatas) and pizza made by Julia and a collection of pictures of youth exchanges and Raquel dancing or playing the piano, were portrayed throughout the video. Raquel was also the representative of the group on the live event, even though she was broadcasting from Belfast. During the interview with Iztok, she talked about the relation of Cultural Diversity and the fact that she was broadcasting from Northern Ireland. Then, she introduced the idea behind the video, leaving the audience with the message that we can find Cultural Diversity everywhere, since we are citizens of the world and it's so enriching living together.
