On Sunday 26th August 2018, we saw an advert on Evs Partner Network Facebook Page, advertising that Bear Sanctuary Prishtina in Kosovo* is looking for a couple of volunteers from Erasmus+ countries for two weeks, starting from August 26th until September 9th 2018. On the same day, we tried our luck and proceeded to apply, hoping that the hosting organisation would say yes. The following morning brought with it good news, as both of us were accepted; without wasting any time, we started checking for flights, a sending organisation and anything else that was needed by the hosting organisation to process our applications. Both PRISMS Malta and Jeton Hetemaj (on behalf of the hosting organisation and the Bear Sanctuary) were extremely helpful and well organized, arranging all that was required for us in a span of just 3 days, including pre-departure training.

As project Multi Kulti happens every month, October was the month to learn more about Serbia. Many visitors enjoyed a presentation of our volunteer and some delicious Serbian cuisine. We finished the night with learning some cyrillic letters, listening to some traditional songs and dancing.
